About Me

Current Position:

Ms. Jacquelien Migliacio is a lifelong resident of Plaquemine Louisiana. She is the Middle and High School Dance Teacher at the Math, Science, and Arts Academy West in Plaquemine, Louisiana for seven years now.

Previous Position:

Ms. Jackie is a dance artist with over twenty-five years of dance training and experience in all genres and levels of dance. She trained at Melissa Zeno's Acclaimed School of Dance in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and began teaching and training dancers of all ages and levels in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and more at her dance studio at the age of fourteen.

While at Acclaimed School of Dance she has had the opportunity to perform at the Olympics in Sydney, Australia and has also attended numerous dance competitions and conventions such as Tremaine, LADF, Dance Excellence in Los Angeles, California, Showbiz, Showstoppers, and DEA.

While attending Plaquemine High School, she was a member of the PHS Dazzler dance team from 1998-2002 serving as captain and as co-captain throughout her four years. As a dazzler, she competed with American All-Star and won numerous national dance titles, such as MA Dance where she received the regional soloist title. As an American All-Star, she was given the opportunity to travel as a goodwill performer to Paris, Italy, and Hawaii.

She has performed at the Super Bowl pregame shows and all LHSAA pregame shows as a dazzler. Also, she was involved in many community activities in Iberville Parish such as “Relay for Life,” International Acadian Festival, Le Krewe du Rio & Krewe of Okeanos Mardi Gras Ball, providing entertainment with show-stopping performances. Upon graduating she continued to choreograph/ asst. coach the Plaquemine High School dazzlers with helping them achieve first place regional/national titles in high kick, pom, jazz, and hip-hop.

She was a member of the ULL Ragin Jazz dance team where she competed at UDA Nationals and was selected to choreograph parts the LHSAA pregame show for state football. Later, she judged high school and college dance team tryouts.
